Mourners gathered at the John A. Wilson Building on Thursday afternoon until midnight and from 7 am until 9 am on Friday morning to pay respects to former District of Columbia first lady Effi Barry. Who, at age 63, died of leukemia on Thursday, 06 September 2007.
A funeral procession then escorted the body of Effi Barry through the streets of the Nation's Capital to the Washington National Cathedral in NW Washington DC for a Friday, 14 September 2007 funeral service scheduled to have begun at 11 am.
