Mourners gathered at the John A. Wilson Building on Thursday afternoon until midnight and from 7 am until 9 am on Friday morning to pay respects to former District of Columbia first lady Effi Barry. Who, at age 63, died of leukemia on Thursday, 06 September 2007.A funeral procession then escorted the body of Effi Barry through the streets of the Nation's Capital to the Washington National Cathedral in NW Washington DC for a Friday, 14 September 2007 funeral service scheduled to have begun at 11 am.
