To honor and to tribute National Police Week, the mission of the annual National Police Week 5K Run is to raise awareness and funding for Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS), a not-for-profit organization. NPW honors law enforcement officers who have given their lives while serving in the line of duty. Proceeds from this annual event are gifted to COPS, an organization dedicated to supporting the lives of family members of those fallen officers.The 2010 National Police Week 5K Run will take place this Saturday, 8 May 2010.
