Today's Valentine's Day - the holiday of love.

But in the United States, land of the free, not everyone is free to make a life-long commitment to the person he or she loves.

Today, take a stand for love by sending your friends, family, and neighbors a Valentine's Day reminder telling them you care - about them and about marriage.

Send a Valentine's Day E(quality)Card now!

Valentine's Day is a perfect time to stop for a moment to think about how far we've come in ending marriage discrimination - and also about how much more we have to do to ensure that loving couples can share in the responsibilities, protections, and commitment of marriage.

I recently joined the Freedom to Marry team. In Washington D.C., I was blessed to work with an amazing group of gay and straight people to pass a marriage bill and soon, same-sex couples will be able to marry in the District.

With your help, we can win marriage nationwide.Celebrate Valentine's Day by sending E(quality)Cards to spread the love and spark a conversation about the freedom to marry.

Have a happy, happy Valentine's Day!
