Though the grand opening was last October I just noticed during my 5 February 2010 Snow Blizzard trip that there is a Bikestation at Union Station in NE Washington DC.The first of its kind on the East Coast the Bike Transit Center (BCT), paid for by the U.S. Department of Transportation and DDOT, will offer secure bike parking, a changing room, lockers, bike rentals, repairs and a small retail shop selling bike accessories, for about $1 a day.
